WHAT IS A WISH KIT?

A “Wish Kit” allows you to create and launch your special pictures, wishes, greetings, messages or tributes and memorials into outer space. Currently we have three different launch experiences. Our first mission capsule is the Earth Orbital, that will orbit around the Earth on a trackable journey. The second mission capsule is the Moon Lander that will be launched to the surface of the moon on the MX-1E robotic explorer and our third mission capsule is the Deep Space capsule that will be inserted inside a research spacecraft and launched on an endless journey through deep space. Once your wish kit is received, simply log in and start creating and upload your pictures and messages. Send your custom template to our data capsule so they can be prepared for launch.

DOES THE SERVICE CREATE SPACE DEBRIS OR POLLUTION?

Launch A Wish has been designed to create zero space debris. Our capsules will always remain attached to the primary spacecraft or lander and will always remain with each mission as secondary payload.  Essentially we are hitching a ride on existing space missions. All of our launches are commercially purchased in accordance with the Office of Commercial Space Transportation and the Federal Aviation Administration, ensuring all payload will not contribute to orbital debris.

WHEN IS THE NEXT LAUNCH?

The Earth Orbital Launch, Moon Lander and Deep Space mission are all scheduled to launch in late 2019. As soon as our Launch Service Providers set the launch date window you will be informed via email or by periodically checking the site for mission updates. You can also follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for mission updates.

DO YOU OFFER A LAUNCH GUARANTEE?

Yes,  We have contracted with a leading space service company to provide payload acquisitions, module integration, as well as, launch site notifications and updates.  We are fully insured by our launch service provider and confidently offer a 100% performance guarantee on a second mission should the first mission fail to achieve success due to weather delays, satellite construction or rocket malfunction.

HOW IS THE CAPSULE LAUNCHED?

Our Launch A Wish data capsules will be placed in a specially designed flight module and integrated into a satellite, spacecraft or surface rover. The spacecraft is then loaded into the cargo vessel of the rocket and launched into space where it will orbit the Earth, explore the surface of the Moon or journey into Deep Space.

HOW DOES THE CAPSULE GET TO THE MOON?

For the first time in history, NASA and the U.S. Government have approved a private commercial exploration company to explore the moon, our “8th Continent”. Our capsule will be attached to the MX-1E Robotic Explorer and launched to the surface of the moon from Rocket Labs Complex 1 in Mahia, New Zealand.

HOW DO I TRACK THE CAPSULE?

Once you receive your Wish Kit you will be directed to log in and create an account.   Start creating your templates, upload your personal images, messages, pictures, tributes or wishes to the capsule. When the rocket is launched, you can track the capsule using our dashboard tracking portal.  You can also track satellites and moon phases using the “Satellite Tracker” app, “Star Walk” app or “Google Sky Map” app.

HOW LONG WILL THE CAPSULE ORBIT?

The orbit length of the Earth Orbital mission depends on the final altitude of the primary satellite launched on the mission. For example:  The orbital life span of many satellites will orbit around the earth for hundreds of years while others orbit for just a few.  The anticipated orbital life span for each orbital mission will be determined once the final altitude is reached.

HOW LONG WILL THE CAPSULE STAY ON THE MOON?

The Moon Lander capsule will remain with the moon for eternity.

HOW LONG WILL THE CAPSULE STAY IN DEEP SPACE?

The Deep Space capsule will travel on an endless journey through space.

WHAT IF I AM UNABLE TO ATTEND THE LAUNCH? WILL A VIDEO RECORDING BE MADE AVAILABLE?

Yes. For all of our missions a video of the launch will be posted on our website and social media outlets, (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, etc). While we encourage everyone to attend the live launch (at your own expense), we understand that not everyone can make it.  Launch A Wish will usually be able to provide a live, global webcast of the launch, depending on the launch facility we use.

WHEN MUST I SEND MY WISHES, MESSAGE AND PICTURES TO THE CAPSULE?

The integration deadline to send your wishes, pictures and messages to the capsule will be posted and updated on the dashboard site. As of now, the integration deadline is scheduled for sometime in Q1 of 2019. Once our launch service providers advise of the integration deadline the site will be updated.

HOW OFTEN DO YOU LAUNCH?

We are planning to launch three times in 2019. We will also be acquiring additional spaceflights for missions that are scheduled for 2020.  As additional missions become available we will update the website.  You can also sign up for email alerts.

DO YOU OFFER CORPORATE OR VOLUME DISCOUNTS?

DO YOU SHIP OUTSIDE THE CONTINENTAL US?

Yes, we ship around the world via the postal systems of the US and the destination country. Please note that customers outside the United States are responsible for payment shipping and of any customs fees that may be charged by the destination country. We offer free delivery via Priority Mail within the United States.  We also offer express delivery and international shipping (for an additional fee). All customers outside the US, please contact us for shipping quotes.

WILL I BE NOTIFIED WHEN MY ORDER IS SHIPPED?

Yes, we send an e-mail to you once your order is shipped.

We accept payment only in US dollars.

CAN I RETURN MY WISH KIT?

Yes.  We offer a 30 day return policy on any unused, undamaged product.  All eligible returns will incur a 15% restocking & handling fee.  Digital items are non-refundable. We do not refund shipping costs. You are responsible for bearing the cost of returning goods to us for refund. You are also responsible for bearing the costs of re-shipping an order in case you provided us an incorrect shipping address when you originally placed your order, or if the package we mail to the addressee is not picked up by the addressee and is either abandoned, returned to sender or lost. Requests for refunds must be made within 30 days of the date of shipment date. Note that Refunds are provided via the credit card you used for your purchase.

WHAT IF I MADE A MISTAKE ON MY ORDER: HOW DO I CORRECT IT?

Contact us as soon as possible to make changes to your order. Digital items can easily be changed anytime. But if you wish to make a change after we print and ship your order, you will be charged a printing and reshipping fee.
